NBA Draft Shot Chart: Julius Randle
Julius Randle thrived at Kentucky by overpowering weaker defenders. He finished in and around the paint consistently and his favorite move is to face up his opponent, take a power dribble and go right through his opponent. That worked consistently in college, but might not translate perfectly to the next level. His dominant rebounding ability on both ends of the floor is almost certain to translate, as his ability to get to the free throw line.
However, this chart makes it clear that Randle is not much of a shooter away from the basket. He’s a below-average shooter from the mid-range and was only 3-of-18 from three-point range on the year.
